If the question mark stays on your screen and your Mac does not start up normally: Press and hold the power button on your Mac for up to 10 seconds, until your Mac turns off. If the 'Task Manager' windows shows, then choose 'New Task' and then type in EXPLORER. Take note that if a firmware password (different than a login password) is set on your Mac, you will see the screen below if you invoke Startup Manager or attempt to boot Recovery Mode on your Mac. The simplest way is to press and hold the power button for a few seconds while the computer is booting up. You can also try doing the Ctrl+Alt+Delete and see if you can get 'Task Manager' to show.
